 What better way to root for the Indians then to know that every time they score a run this season, The Gathering Place will benefit. Talk about a win / win!
We are thrilled that SportsTime Ohio and STO Charities has chosen to partner with The Gathering Place for the Cleveland Indians 2008 season. Special thanks to Rick Manning and Matt Underwood for making personal pledges of $1 for each run that the Indians score during the regular season and to SportsTime Ohio for matching those pledges. If the Indians score the same number of runs this year that they did in 2007 (811), these pledges will contribute over $3,200 to help keep all programs and services at The Gathering Place free of charge to anyone touched by cancer.
If you would like to make a pledge (minimum pledge of 10 cents), you can do so by clicking on the "Make My Pledge" button below. Pledges can be made for the full season or you can choose to start counting runs from the day you make your pledge (if you enrolled in this promotion after the start of the 2008 season).
In addition, everyone who makes a pledge will be entered in a monthly drawing to win a beautiful "Larger-Than-Life" baseball with your autograph painted onto the ball. Winners will be thanked for their pledge on SportsTime Ohio during an Indians broadcast. "Larger-Than-Life" baseballs are provided by Fun Enterprises and The Gathering Place is truly appreciative of their support.
