Smoothie Recipes as seen on WKYC Morning Show

PEANUT AND BANANA SMOOTHIE
Ingredients:
1 cup nonfat milk (soymilk)
1 Tbsp. smooth peanut butter
1 frozen banana
Sugar or honey, to taste (optional)
1/8 to 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 TBS ground flaxseed

Preparation:
In blender, place milk and peanut butter. Blend 30 seconds. Add bananas, sugar or honey, cinnamon and vanilla. Blend until mixture is completely combined. Serve immediately.

Nutrient Analysis:
Per serving: 290 calories, 10 g. total fat (2 g. saturated fat), 44 g. carbohydrates, 15 g. protein, 7 g. dietary fiber, 201 mg. sodium.


PINEAPPLE/SPINACH SMOOTHIE
Ingredients
·    1 cup yogurt
·    Handful each of spinach, celery, carrot
·    ½  cup fresh pineapple
·    Dash OJ

Preparation
·    Chunk celery, carrot, and pineapple and place in blender
·    Add yogurt, spinach, and juice
·    Blend to desired consistency

Nutritional analysis~: Calories: 200, Fat 3g, Protein 10g, Carbohydrates 40g, Calcium: 450 mg, Fiber: 5 g


CHOCOLATE BLACKBERRY BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE

Ingredients
·    ½ cup organic soy chocolate milk
·    ¼ cup silken tofu
·    ½ cup frozen organic blackberries
·    Pinch of ground cloves

Preparation
·    Blend chocolate soy milk and tofu
·    Add blackberries and clove – blend to desired thickness
