Community Based Fundraisers

The Gathering Place is regularly approached by people in the community who would like to raise money to support our mission.  In addition to the money we receive, each of these events also introduces new people to The Gathering Place. We are very appreciative of all the individuals and organizations who help to make these events possible.  We invite you to view the Celebrating Our Caring Community post recognizing those who supported our free programs and services last quarter. CURRENT  EVENTS

LoveMuffinPalooza; a weekend of great music sponsored by organizer Love Muffin Records & Distribution out of Cleveland, September 11th, 12th and 13th.  Nightly raffles at each show will benefit The Gathering Place. Kick-off LoveMuffinPalooza Thursday night at the Barking Spider with Dazed and Confused, The Flavor, “Papa” Dave Smeltz, Sean Benjamin, Conor Standish, Liquor City Buddhas and Charlie Weiner (Tip Jar will be passed).  The music moves to Spitfire Saloon Friday night for a free show featuring May Day Riots and Skychief and Saturday, join Polina & The Pyramids, Goodnight Tonight, Kiss Me Deadly and the Luvmthas at Mahall’s in Lakewood (tickets $12).

Give Support, Get Paladar; Donate $25 or more to benefit The Gathering Place September 8th –October 5th and receive a $25 voucher courtesy of Paladar. Click here to make a donation on our donation page. Please be sure to type in ‘For Paladar’ in the special instructions section for the donation. The $25 vouchers will be mailed to you from Paladar. Thank you for your support and enjoy your Paladar.

Chico’s at Beachwood Place will be hosting their fall “Fashion, Fashion, Fashion” Event on Thursday Sept 18, as a shopping day to benefit The Gathering Place.  Customers will receive 40% off the entire boutique and The Gathering Place will receive 10% back on the sales that day. Shop the new fall fashions while enjoying a catered lunch from  Maggiano’s, 12-2. Tevanna will be  providing tea from 1-5 while Aveda is donating fun samples.

Cara’s Boutique will be hosting the Fall Fashion Show: The Event of the Season! On Friday, September 26th at 6:30pm in The Promenade at Crocker Park located in Westlake. The fashion show will feature models from The Gathering Place with 10% of the evening’s proceeds benefiting the organization.  Have fun supporting The Gathering Place and enjoy a chance to win one of the raffles, or purchase Brighton’s 2014 Power of the Pink Bracelets and $5 will be donated.  Every guest will receive a free gift and $5 in Cara’s Cash plus enjoy wine & appetizers.Tickets are $10 pre-sale/$15 at the door.  For ticket information call 440-899-0050 or email info@caraboutique.com. Save Our Sisters Save our Sisters…Save our Selves (SOS SOS) was founded by Maureen Barrett and Kathy Gable creators of a unique line of jewelry custom-designed and exclusively supplied by Broestl and Wallis Fine Jewelers. Proceeds from the jewelry helps to support The Gathering Place.

The Rock Pile is a local landscape supply yard combined with a garden center and bird feeding specialty shop. Their program, Fundraising that Rocks is a year-round program that allows customers to designate a local organization to support through their purchases. A total of 5% before tax of every retail priced purchase will be donated to the cause or organization of the customer’s choosing. Just mention The Gathering Place, and we will receive 5% of your purchase price!
