Community Based Fundraisers

The Gathering Place is regularly approached by people in the community who would like to raise money to support our mission.  In addition to the money we receive, each of these events also introduces new people to The Gathering Place. We are very appreciative of all the individuals and organizations who help to make these events possible.  We invite you to view the Celebrating Our Caring Community post recognizing those who supported our free programs and services last quarter. St. Bernadette Holiday Mart is Saturday, November 1st at St. Bernadette School, 2300 Clague Rd. in Westlake from 10am-4:30pm.  The 6th Annual Holiday Mart will feature local artists and boutiques along with entertainment and raffles.  Admission is a donation with a partial of the day’s proceeds benefiting The Gathering Place.

Think Pink starting September 23rd and ending October 31st,  Salon 180 Woodmere will be raising money through their Think Pink for a Cure campaign. They will be offering pink hair extensions and pink nails and donating proceeds to The Gathering Place. Also, check out their other pink products during your visit.  Call 216-292-3670 to make your appointment.

Hudson Fine Art & Framing Company located at 160 N. Main Street in Hudson, will host its annual “In the Pink” art show to benefit The Gathering Place. They will be raffling 50 small 6″ x 6″ canvases during the entire month of October. Call 330-650-2000 for additional information.

Cleveland Cancer Awareness by Luna will be donating 5% of retail and online sales for the month of October to the Gathering Place. Luna is located in Berea, for more information visit Luna Team Shop.

The Fussy Cleaners at 28700 Chagrin Blvd in Woodmere is hosting a customer appreciation day on November 19th. Customers will receive 10% all of their cleaning, plus The Fussy Cleaners will donate $1 for each item dropped off that day to The Gathering Place. The Fussy Cleaners mission statement is to care for our customers, communities, and each other like family.

Chagrin Valley Wellness Center is offering half-off massages during the month of October in memory of dear family member, Divine Zocchi. Proceeds from the massages will benefit The Gathering Place.

“A Light in the Night” is an award winning product written and illustrated by Cleveland’s own author Sandy Murphy Richards. It includes a super soft plush with a light up tummy and board book. For every “A Light in the Night” sold this holiday season at “A Light in the Fight” or in Playmatters Stores one will be donated to benefit the Children’s Programs at The Gathering Place.

Lulu’s Yogurt with a Twist is a frozen yogurt shop in Hudson that offers a healthy choice for dessert.  They donate a percentage of profits to The Gathering Place throughout the year.  LuLu’s Yogurt with a Twist is Your Healthy Choice for fun and excitement.


Save Our Sisters Save our Sisters…Save our Selves (SOS SOS) was founded by Maureen Barrett and Kathy Gable creators of a unique line of jewelry custom-designed and exclusively supplied by Broestl and Wallis Fine Jewelers. Proceeds from the jewelry helps to support The Gathering Place.


The Rock Pile is a local landscape supply yard combined with a garden center and bird feeding specialty shop. Their program, Fundraising that Rocks is a year-round program that allows customers to designate a local organization to support through their purchases. A total of 5% before tax of every retail priced purchase will be donated to the cause or organization of the customer’s choosing. Just mention The Gathering Place, and we will receive 5% of your purchase price!


VANITYLAB Salon.Spa.Shop, 24945 Detroit Road Westlake, is the home of Sparkle, a year round artisan jewelry festival featuring the work of more than 50 local Cleveland artists.  Visit VANITYLAB to see all of the unique jewelry.  A portion of the proceeds from Sparkle benefits The Gathering Place.  Call 216-849-2636 for more information.
