Community Based Fundraisers
The Gathering Place is regularly approached by people in the community who would like to raise money to support our mission. We are so appreciative of these efforts and try however we can to support these community based fundraisers. In addition to the money we receive each of these events also introduces new people to The Gathering Place. Below is a list of upcoming and ongoing community based fundraisers:
Upcoming Events
Saks Fifth Avenue Beachwood will give back 5% of all registered purchases* made with a Saks Fifth Avenue charge card to The Gathering Place for the entire month of February. Shop at Saks and support The Gathering Place. *Click here for details.
Ongoing Events
The Rock Pile is a local Landscape Supply Yard combined with a Garden Center and Bird Feeding specialty shop. Their program, Fundraising that Rocks is a wonderfully simple year-round program that donates back to the local organizations that their customers care about. A total of 5% of every retail priced purchase will be donated to the cause or organization of the customer’s choosing. Just mention The Gathering Place, and we will receive 5% of your purchase price!
VANITYLAB Salon.Spa.Shop in Westlake has launched Sparkle, a year round artisan jewelry festival featuring the work of more than 50 local Cleveland artists. Visit VANITYLAB in Westlake (24945 Detroit Road) to see all of the amazing jewelry. A portion of the proceeds from Sparkle benefits The Gathering Place. Call 216-849-2636 for more information.
Hope & Humor, a company offering organic, locally-made clothing for those facing mobility restrictions due to surgery, injury, or aging, is donating 10% of their net profits to The Gathering Place. Thanks to co-owners Melissa Pantel-Ku and Christine Weiss for their support of our work.
Buttons for Believers is a non-profit organization that uses donated buttons to create hand crafted products. These unique pieces are sold and the profits are donated to different causes. Currently, Buttons for Believers is donating its proceeds to The Gathering Place. Help support the fight against cancer by donating buttons to Buttons for Believers or purchasing one of their hand crafted pieces from their store or website.
